Jerry Risk, President
Jerry Risk, a senior at Sutherlin High, is serving as the Sutherlin FFA Chapter President. As President Jerry runs meetings, organizes events, coordinates with all the officers, and works with the committees. Two of the CDE's that Jerry participates in are Forestry and Parlimentary Procedure. One of his favorite memories was the trip to Indiannapolis, Indiana for National Convention in 2010. His SAE is working at American Pride Manufacturing in Roseburg and raising a market steer. One thing that Jerry has learned from FFA is that hard work and preserverence will eventually pay off.
In addition to FFA, Jerry is involved with soccer and National Honor Society. After high school his plans are to work as an intern for the USDA over the summer and then atttend OSU to study Forest Engineering and Renewable Resources. Jerry's favorite farm animal is a rooster because they are the first one awake and can fly to see over the whole farm.
