Agricultural Economist are individuals trained in agricultural economics. You must possess a PhD or its equivalent in Agricultural Economics or a related field. North Carolina A&T State University is a great college to go to if you are ineterested in this type of job.

 

 

Some of the classes you can take are Princpels of economics, statistical  methods,  in agricultural economics 2,  Intermediate Micro Theory, and Computer Applications in Agricultural Economics. Some high school classes you Should take would be political science and economics. With a degree in the area a person could go into many different careers. Some may involve agricultural Development and policy.  You could work at any of these locations The Department Of Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Industry, Labour, Environment Affairs & Tourism, Water Affairs and forestry as well as Provincial authorities. Any person that is interested in Agriculture and Agricultural Affairs would be interested in this Career path.
