This field consists of the study of all the internal activities of plants, including Phytochemistery, Enviormental Interactions, Cellular Interactions, Plant Morphology, Molecular and Cell Biology. Some required qualifications are: you must have a Ph.D. in biological with and emphasis in plant physiology at time of employment. One college that has specific programs for a plant physiologist is Oregon State University. The candidate will be expected to particapate in the college's enviromental studies. They muct be able to pass oral English profiency requirements and must have teaching experienceat least at the graduate teaching assistantship level.

Oregon State Universities biology classes include: Biology, Biological Sciences, Zoology, Animal Biology, and Biotechnology.

A person that would like this job, would be a person, who likes plants, people that are interested in photosynthesis, and carbohydrate metabolism.
