The Holstein cattle known today as the world's highest production dairy animal. The Holstein cow was originally breaded in the Netherlands. They were the regional cattle of two tribes that settled on the Rhine coastal region. They are used in southern Europe for meat. In the north, they are used for milk. The Holstein accounts for over 80% of the dairy production. In the United States, the Holstein cattle are the most popular cattle choice today.
The Jersey cattle are a very small type of dairy cattle. It was bread in Channel Island, Jersey. The Jersey is widely popular for its high butterfat in its milk unlike the Holstein. Because of the lower body weight, the farmers can have more cattle because they take up less room.
